Understanding the timeline
The Timeline tab shows pinned thoughts and thoughts that are due. See what each card shows and how to find every thought, even waiting ones.
The app has four tabs: Timeline, Tags, Archive and Stats. The Timeline comes first. It only shows what needs your attention today. The Stats tab is a summary of your notebook. See Stats.
What is on the Timeline
- A "Pinned" section at the top, with every pinned thought. They stay in the order you pinned them.
- A "Due" section below it, with thoughts whose wait is over, oldest first.
Thoughts that are still waiting are not shown here. When nothing is due, the Timeline says "All caught up". It also tells you what is coming next, like "3 thoughts come back tomorrow."
Reading a card
- The title is the first line of the thought. The preview is the lines after it.
- Tag chips show which tags the thought has.
- A small picture shows on the right if the thought has an image.
- A label like "due today" or "due 2d ago" shows how long it has been due. Pinned thoughts show instead.
Quick actions
- Swipe right on a card to pin it. If it is already pinned, the same swipe unpins it.
- Swipe left to see two buttons. "Tomorrow" snoozes the thought for a day, and "Archive" archives it. On a pinned card, "Unpin" takes the place of "Tomorrow".
- Pull down to refresh the list.
- At the top right, tap to search, or next to it to open Settings.
Seeing every thought
The Timeline is not a list of everything you wrote. To find one thought, tap and search. See Search your thoughts.
To browse instead, open the tab at the bottom and pick a tag. Or pick "Untagged" for thoughts with no tag. Each of those pages has a "Due" and "All" switch at the top right. "All" shows every thought that is not archived, due or not.
