Change the look with themes
Pick one of six free themes to change the colors, title fonts and cards in Thought Reps. Your choice stays on your phone.
A theme changes how the app looks: colors, title fonts and the shape of your cards. All six themes are free.
- Tap on the Timeline to open Settings.
- Under "Appearance", tap "Theme". It shows the one you use now.
- Tap a theme. It applies right away, and "In use" moves to it.
The six themes
- "Ink" is the default. Clean outlines, Archivo and Paper Mono.
- "Library" has warm paper, old-style serifs and oxblood ink.
- "Midnight" is deep navy and gold.
- "Garden" has soft sage, rounded type and pillowy cards.
- "Terminal" is green on black, with Menlo everywhere.
- "Pop" is cream and coral, with thick ink outlines.
Light and dark
"Midnight" and "Terminal" are always dark, whatever your device is set to. The other four follow your device, so they switch between light and dark with it.
What a theme does not change
Your thought text font is its own setting. Under "Appearance", "Thought text" stays "Paper Mono" or "System" whichever theme you pick. Settings and the editor keep the standard iOS look.
Your theme is saved on your phone only. It is not part of a backup, so choose it again on a new phone.
