What Thought Reps is

Thought Reps is a notebook for iPhone and iPad. You write something down. Later, it comes back to you, so you see it again. Most notes just sit in a long list and get forgotten.

It works well for things you want to remember but tend to forget. A quote you liked. An article you meant to read. A word of the day you want to learn. A question to think about.

The basic loop

1. Write a thought. It takes a few seconds. You can use Markdown, images and #tags.
2. Let it go. The thought leaves your timeline and waits 7 days, or whatever interval you pick.
3. Meet it again. When the time is up, it shows on your timeline marked as due. Open it, and it heads out for another lap.

What you get

• Thoughts written in Markdown, with photos, image galleries, attached files, extra text blocks you can blur to quiz yourself and links to other thoughts.
• Tags, with a timeline for each tag.
• Pin, snooze and archive, so you choose what stays in front of you.
• An optional daily reminder.
• A calm Stats tab that shows how much you write and revisit.
• A share option, so you can save text and links from other apps.
• Backup files you own, and a one-time link for moving to a new device.

Private by design

There is no account. Your thoughts are stored on your device, and the app works without internet. Read Privacy: what stays on your phone to learn more.

Thought Reps is made for iPhone and iPad. It needs iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later. See Use Thought Reps on iPad.
